Adam Lambert is Out and Proud
Ok, so now I've been thoroughly educated on Adam Lambert (let me emphasize, I'm still wondering why the hell I should care). Apparently, back on American Idol, he was a semi-good singer, quiet and wasn't clear about being gay. Now he's off American Idol and a terrible singer, pushing guys' heads into his crotch and getting banned from Good Morning America. I didn't think I'd ever say this, but can we go back to American Idol?
"I don't feel I owe anyone an apology for anything," he told KIIS-FM's Ryan Seacrest in an interview hours after GMA canceled his appearance following his racy American Music Awards performance Sunday night. "I performed, it was late-night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. It's just the fact that I'm me and it's a little different for people. It's really not that big of a deal."

Lambert, 27, added: "There's a slight double standard. We've seen female pop performers doing extremely sexual routines for years and all of the sudden a guy does it and it's crazy."

ABC had cited his "controversial American Music Awards performance" as the network's reason for uninviting the American Idol alum, adding that GMA was "concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."

Although Lambert said "I'm not a babysitter, I'm a performer," he understood ABC's decision.

"They gotta do what they gotta do," said Lambert, who will now appear on Wednesday's The Early Show on CBS instead. "They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren't happy about it. I respect their decision -- I don't necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do."

You stick up for yourself Adam. You turned a boring awards show into a boring awards show that people are still talking about days later. If that's not true celebrity status, I don't know what is.

Adam Lambert Has A Lot to Complain About
Ok, what the hell are the AMAs? I go to bed yesterday pretty sure I knew everything about everything and I wake up this morning with everyone complaining about some sort of award show and Adam Lambert making out with some dude. On a related note, who the hell is Adam Lambert, and, more specifically, why the hell should I care.
ABC television said on Monday it had received about 1,500 complaints about the sexually-charged performance by "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert at the American Music Awards on Sunday.

Millions of viewers saw Lambert simulate oral sex with a back-up dancer, plant a passionate kiss on the mouth of a male keyboard player and gesture to the audience with his middle finger during the closing act of the live music awards show.

Lambert, 27, said his goal was "not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom".

ABC cut the most controversial part of his act -- Lambert rubbing the face of a male dancer in his crotch -- from the U.S. West Coast telecast that aired later on Sunday.

But by then, the singer's racy rendition of his debut single "For Your Entertainment" was already on its way to becoming one of the most provocative TV moments in the music industry since Madonna and Britney Spears kissed on the MTV Video Music Awards show in 2003.

American Music Awards producers, Dick Clark Productions, said they were unaware from rehearsals what Lambert had planned. "We did not expect the impromptu moments," a spokeswoman told Reuters.

An estimated 14.2 million viewers watched the "American Music Awards" telecast, the largest audience since 2002, ABC said, based on preliminary viewing figures.

Lambert, 27, who publicly declared he was gay after "American Idol" ended in May, said his act with dancers in bondage costumes, was no different from the erotic performances of some female pop singers. He added that much of the sexual energy he brought to Sunday's show was "in the moment."

"Adrenaline is a crazy, crazy, crazy feeling. Some of the things I love most about performing is when you're up there and all of the sudden you just have these feelings, this rush that comes over you," Lambert told CNN afterward.

Oh Adam, I so know what you're talking about. Every time I get up to do karaoke, I end up ripping off all of my clothing, covering myself in baby oil and making out with the pinball machine. I can't help those crazy feelings!

Adam Lambert: 'People Hate the Gays'
Gay American Idol contestant gay Adam Lambert, who's always been gay, has come out to "Rolling Stone" magazine to announce, yes, he's gay.
"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," the American Idol runner-up said. "I'm proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It's just another part of me."
Only, not so much. The singer would not come out of that closet while still on the show, and avoided all questions about his sexuality. He addressed this little controdiction by basically stating that America is not so fond of someone being an out-and-about fairy.
"I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing," Lambert said. "I'm an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn't matter. Except it does. It's really confusing."
If you are Kelly Clarkson and you just won Idol for the first time, then you can be amazed that people want to dig into your personal life as soon as you become famous. If you are Adam Lambert, the 42nd second-place-winner, and still amazed, then you're an idiot. Seriously dude, you knew what you signed up for. Now, either go off and make a record or bang a dude, America would be happy to obsessively talk about either.

Kara DioGuardi Has a Big Mouth
Lads, don't ever trust a woman with a secret. They promise they can keep it, but then, there they are, blabbing away to all the girls they know. Kara DioGuardi, the American Idol judge, did just that when she went on The View. They were talking about contestant Adam Lambert and if people judged him on his sexuality - nevermind the fact Adam has never admitted he's gay.
"Well, first of all, I hope not ... because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and (he) had that," Kara said.
Then Kara put on some Elton John, sequined all of Adam's clothes and threw him into a gay pride parade - figuratively speaking of course.
"I don't think that Adam [Lambert] was ever in [the closet]," she added. "I think he was always openly out."
No Kara, he's never been openly out, and that's why you're an attention starved whore who needs people to be talking about her. This is just like the time my high school girlfriend got on the loud speaker and announced that I've always wanted to be a ballet dancer and sleep each night in a tutu, dreaming about what could have been. Uh, I mean, it would be like that, if that ever happened, which it didn't. Seriously, it didn't. Shut up, go away. *shuffling feet from first position to second position nervously.*

Ckay Aiken is a Whiny Loser
Clay Aiken was a runner-up in American Idol in 2002, but has somehow remained famous. Women seem to love him because he's tiny, he has messy hair and he's openly gay. Women love the stupidest things. Now, though, Clay is pissed off at this season's Idol because of runner-up Adam Lambert. For those who don't know who he is, Adam's the one who's tiny, has messy hair and is possibly gay. Surprise, women love him too.
Clay blasted this season's runner-up on his Web site, mocking Lambert's rendition of "Ring of Fire" as "contrived," "awful" and "slightly frightening."

According to Aiken, he tunes into the show about once a season — and this year, he caught Lambert's take on Johnny Cash and thought his ears would bleed... He also thinks the series showed bias for Lambert over eventual champ Kris Allen and has focused on "slick productions and polished contestants" rather than raw talent. (AP)

Sounds like Clay's got a nasty case of, "Oh crap, this dude is just like me only newer and better," and is doing what he can to stay in the spotlight. That, or he's got a major manjina crush and wants to be noticed by Adam. Nothing says "love me" like "I hate you." All Clay has to do is insult Adam's friends, clothes, and career and you've got every family dinner I've ever been to. Good luck at not fading into oblivion, buddy.

Adam Lambert's Fans Are Wild
For the three of you not watching American Idol, Adam Lambert is a 27-year-old singer who's probably going to win this season's show. Unexplainably, people love his ridiculous The Cure-wannabe-haircut and his use of eyeshadow. Oh yeah, that's sexy. This devotion was proven last week when Adam performed at his old high school. A crazy (and by crazy, we mean crazy hot) fan rushed the stage in only her bra. Too bad Adam is flaming gay or he might have enjoyed it. The dude did take it the whole thing in stride and even gave her a shout out before finishing his performance. Enjoy this fame while you can, Adam, because as soon as Idol's over, you're forgotten. Seriously, remember Idol: Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino? Yeah, me neither.
