Shia LaBeouf was interviewed by Playboy Magazine and was really open. Like, more than I ever needed to know about him. He talked about growing up and working on Disney Channel's Even Stevens. There, he revealed his true side:

"I would do insane things," he said. "We'd be working on scenes... and we'd decide, 'Hey, let's strip down to our bare asses and streak down the hallway.' Somewhere in the Disney vaults there's video footage with my penis on it."

Shia LaBeouf told Entertainment Weekly that his July 2008 car accident has caused permanent damage to his hand.

"I've had screws and plates put in. They put a screw in one of my knuckles. And they shaved a piece of bone off my hip and made a [bone for my] finger out of it," he said in reference to his hand that's required three surgeries. The last one was on April 2. "[I'll get back] probably about 80-something percent. I'll be able to make a fist again. There's a knuckle I'll never be able to move again, but that's probably the only permanent damage, other than the scarring."

Shia said the injury has caused many problems for him, especially when trying to be a movie star.

"It's hard to do anything. It's hard to button your pants or brush your teeth, let alone jump off a three-story building into a pad. (The upcoming "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen") was the most physical thing I've ever had to do, and I had to do it with a broken hand," he said.

I've never accepted Shia LaBeouf as an action star. He's clearly a talented actor but has always been more comic-relief than badass-hero to me. Perhaps he will use this debilitating accident to slow down, take some time and do a buddy comedy with Seth Rogen. When fate mangles your hand in a random car accident, it's God's way of saying you're too much of a wuss for big action movies no matter how much Steven Spielberg loves you.

It's no secret that a lot of folks out there are not huge fans of Shia LaBeouf and think he's vastly overrated as an actor. To be more specific: a lot of people really hate him, for reasons that aren't exactly clear, but the hatred seems genuine. Well, if you happen to be one of those people you'll be glad to hear that even LaBeouf is embarrassed to be seen with himself these days.

Since his driver's license was suspended following his drunken accident, he's forced to walk to the local liquor store for his booze, and upon leaving decided to wear a paper bag on his head once the paparazzi showed up. That combined with the trash bag wrapped around his injured hand makes him look like some sort of retarded comic book villain, which for all we know is the look he's going for these days.
