Carrie Underwood may look cute with her mouth wide open in the photo above, but the words that are coming out of it aren't so adorable. In fact, the country singer dropped a double dose of stupidity this week and should do herself a favor and stop talking.

First, while Carrie insists publicly that she's not feuding with Jessica Simpson, a friend spilled to Life & Style Weekly that privately she's not so kind:

But a friend of the American Idol winner confirms that Carrie’s been sniping at Jessica. “She agrees that Jess is attractive,” says the friend, “but says she wouldn’t want to be as ‘buxom and top-heavy.’”

While I think it's a bit of a stretch to translate this line into Carrie calling Jessica fat as the magazine suggests, insulting her for having big breasts is something we won't stand for around these parts.

But that's not nearly as idiotic as what Underwood had to say to TV Guide about celebrity political endorsements:

While talking about the presidential race with TV Guide, Carrie revealed, “There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate.”

“It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions,” she explains. “I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it’s from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape.”

It's funny that she mentions BS, because that was just a huge steaming pile of it. While I find celebrity endorsements annoying and often condescending, it's obvious Underwood doesn't have the guts to publicly announce who she's voting for because she doesn't want to isolate any of her fans and possibly affect her album sales.

In other words, she probably voted for Barack Obama, but is afraid to say so because the majority of country music fans tend to vote Republican. Just ask the Dixie Chicks how sharing their political views turned out. I don't blame her for not wanting to share her opinion, but then just keep your mouth shut and don't insult other celebrities like a passive aggressive bitch.
