Poor old Billy Bob Thornton. It's every parents nightmare to have their child call and say, "Dad, I'm in jail." It's even worse when they say, "Dad, I'm in jail because I killed a child."

The estranged daughter of Billy Bob Thornton is facing murder charges. On Wednesday, 29-year-old Amanda Brumfield was indicted for the death of a 1-year-old girl she was babysitting in Florida. She faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child.

According to court records, Brumfield told police that the infant died last October after she fell from a playpen and hit her head. However, detectives believe Brumfield's story is inconsistent with the girl's injuries -- the autopsy showed a fractured skull and brain injury -- and allege that it took Brumfield more than two hours to call for help. Now, Billy Bob said that he "had no contact with (his daughter) for quite some time," but that still doesn't mean he shouldn't help her out, right? I mean, he did lots of crazy things when he was younger. Remember when he married Angelina Jolie and wore her blood around his neck? Yeah, that was messed up. And how about when he played Davie Crockett in that godawful version of The Alamo? I think he's still got a death sentence in Texas for that one. Look, killing a baby is pretty bad, but when you come from Billy Bob Thornton's penis, it's pretty much to be expected. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.
