For all you kids who think everyone in Hollywood is a role model, well, you're absolutely right. Take this story for example. On Saturday, John Mayer took his friend Rob Dyrdek (of MTV's
Rob & Big) out to celebrate his new film
Street Dreams at an L.A. club. Like a good friend/person, John didn't stop Rob from having way to much to drink. He eventually had to take Rob to the hospital to have his stomach pumped. He's a sweet guy, right? In fact, John wanted to tell the whole world about how awesome a dude he is, so he twittered about it.
"In triage at Cedars with @Robdyrdek. When the contents of his stomach hit that silicon bag and we all saw it, we just broke into applause," he wrote. Minutes later he added, "Applause. S***! Applause."
Don't worry, Rob was fine the next day and thought the whole nearly dying thing was hilarious.
"A funny night out with @johncmayer," he twittered.
Morals of this story: Celebrate the good times, publicly announce the bad in a douchebag way. Applaud your friend's mistakes. Twitter like your life depends on it, literally. Kick'em when they're down, always when they're down. Man, John Mayer could write a book: "The 10 Habits of Highly Scum-Bag People." I'd read that... or at least buy it to chuck it at him. Make sure it's hardback John.
