A representative for Jessica Biel spoke with People Magazine recently and talked about her client's singing abilities.

Biel did "an amazing job," her rep, Michelle Aselta, tells PEOPLE of the actress's singing for her upcoming role in Easy Virtue, a remake of a 1928 Alfred Hitchcock film, costarring Colin Firth.

Though JT wasn't there to give her tips, Biel, 26, was happy to sing into the wee hours.

"Everyone at the studio said, 'Some girls have everything,'" says her rep. "Jessica Biel is dating a gorgeous guy, she's a great actress – and she can sing."

This isn't her first time belting out a tune: As a kid, she did musicals like Annie and Beauty and the Beast.

So does Biel see pop stardom in her future?

"I'm not sure," says Aselta, "but I'm sure dating Justin will probably have some influence in that!"

I understand that it's fairly common for actresses to take vocal lessons, but does everyone have to put out an album? Likewise, does every singer have to think they can act?

I say instead of working on an album, Jessica should leave the music to Justin Timberlake and spend more time posing for photo shoots like the one she did last year for GQ...
