This is the latest issue of OK! Magazine and if you look on the left-hand side of the cover you'll notice that Ashlee Simpson's name was misspelled as "Ashley." No big deal, right? According to Page Six it is:
Just weeks after Susan Toepfer was installed as the new editor-in-chief, the glossy had its first big bungle. It somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson's name as "Ashley" - on the cover, no less. A rep for the magazine told Page Six, "It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will probably be fired."Is this a god damn joke? Look, I understand that every publication wants to maintain a professional appearance and avoid typos, but misspelling someone's name on the cover of a gossip rag is hardly the same as misspelling Barack Obama on the front page of The New York Times. I'd also like to argue that they spelled Ashley the correct way, while Ashlee Simpson's name is spelled as if she were black, which she clearly is not. There, I said it.
