Now, normally we don't cover political stories here at Celebrity Milkshake, but when they involve sex tapes, abortions and idiots, you bet your ass we do. Former Presidential-candidate John Edwards first said he did not cheat on his wife, despite there being photos of him with another woman. Then he came out and said he DID have an affair. Awesome. Now, his aide has written a book and is saying ... well ... this:

John Edwards' former aide, Andrew Young, claims in an upcoming interview with 20/20 that the former presidential candidate made a sex tape with his mistress, Rielle Hunter, and that Edwards pleaded with Hunter to get an abortion in 2007, ABC News reports.

Young and his wife, Cheri, found a sex tape they believe Edwards and Hunter "made just a couple of months before the Iowa caucuses," Young tells the news outlet. Although it's not clear if the woman in the tape is Hunter, Cheri Young said the woman in the video is wearing a bracelet and a thumb ring normally worn by the senator's former mistress.

Young also claims in the interview that Edwards tried to persuade Hunter to have an abortion. "The senator tried to convince her to have an abortion. ... He tried to convince me to convince Rielle to have an abortion," Young told the news outlet. He also said Hunter asked what he would do in the same situation and Young claims he told her he would not do it.

Edwards claimed paternity of Hunter's daughter for the first time last week. He and his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth, have since legally separated. Young's full interview will air on 20/20 this Friday. His book on Edwards and his extra-marital affair, The Politician, hits stores Jan. 30. (AP)

Hilarious! Man, there is never a better time to be an aide to a politician - those guys are always getting into wacky hi jinx! It'd be like living in a sitcom ... A mostly boring, government-regulated, paperwork-filled sitcom. Huzzah!
